BKN, pronounced beacon, is an iOS 4.0+ app designed specifically for ‘one-touch’ messaging (texting, tweeting, or emailing) with the option of sending your location to friends, family and co-workers – instantly and easily whenever and wherever. Assign groups of favorite friends to a BLAST button, and have multiple BLAST buttons, so you can one-touch to simultaneously send a text message with location to an entire group of friends.

BKN allows you to send “I am near here” geo-location information that recipients with an iPhone or other Smartphone can use to plot a course to find you using their maps program. For an added twist, you control how accurate the GPS reports your location, which can be fun if you’re hosting a scavenger hunt and want to get your friends close, but not right on the spot.
